GUIDED HILLS

I have lived in and around the Peak District all my life and even as a young lass I loved being in the hills - my favourite after-school thing was a wander up Win Hill or Lose Hill in the Hope Valley. Over the years I've spent time walking in the UK (Peak District, Wales, Lake District, Scotland, and a few other places). I've also got experience walking in the French and Swiss Alps, as well as some of the USA National Parks. It's fair to say that all of my holidays are active - either walking, running, climbing, skiing or some other outdoor activity.

It seemed a natural progression to formalise my skills so I undertook the training qualified as a Walking Group Leader under the scheme awarded by Mountain Training England (my profile page is here). I'm also a member of the British Mountaineering Council and am a qualified Wilderness First Aider.

Living in Glossop gives me plenty of opportunities to head in to the hills and I know the Bleaklow, Kinder, Derwent Valley and Hope Valley areas well. I really enjoy showing others around, and teaching new skills so do get in touch if you want help building up your confidence and exploring the outdoors, my contact details can be found here.
